Joyce completed her training with Body Control Pilates in 1999, and is a member of the Body Control Pilates association, widely seen as a quality standard for Pilates teaching.
Members adhere to a strict Code of Practice, ensuring high teaching standards and professional ethics.
Joyce was one of the first Pilates teachers in Bristol, and constantly seeks to develop her professional standards with regular Professional
Development.

In 2010 she also qualified as a level 4 advanced teacher, specialising in lower back pain with the "Back4good" training, run by Body Control Pilates.

She also has further training in Pilates for Osteoporosis, Pilates for Pregnancy / Post Natal, Standing Pilates, and Pilates with small equipment.

She has many loyal, long standing clients in Bristol. Clients say they miss Pilates classes when they don't do it, and notice a real difference in the way they feel.

Her teaching style is relaxed and approachable, while paying attention to the precision that is the Pilates Method.
Joyce feels that exercise should be enjoyable and strives to help her clients feel confident and comfortable, as well as challenged.
